Ex-Groupon, Google and Macquarie staffers team to tap the growing online petfood market

Former Groupon chief operating officer Philipp Liver is teaming up with an ex-Macquarie banker and some former Googlers to shake up the Australian pet food market, noting the sector’s shift online has lagged behind other countries like the US and UK.

Launched in August 2011 by ex-Macquarie banker Michael Frizell, Paws for Life has gained close to 30,000 customers and shipped more than 60,000 orders from its warehouse in Alexandria. It offers next-day delivery to east coast capitals.
