Edrolo Announces $2.6m in funding led by AirTree Ventures to bring
Data-Driven Education into every classroom.
A $2.6m funding round led by AirTree Ventures and Blackbird Ventures, with support from Jungle Ventures, Roger Allen, and others will be used to develop Edrolo’s vision of personalising high school education by partnering with master teachers allowing them to reach not one, but hundreds of classrooms.
Edrolo (www.edrolo.com.au & www.edrolo.com) is the creator of the next-generation educational resources providing interactive online video courses and online exam emulation for VCE, HSC, and SAT students. Produced in partnership with master teachers, Edrolo’s resource is used by 20,000 students and teachers across 120 schools in Victoria and NSW.
The latest $2.6m funding round, led by AirTree Ventures, will be used to expand its content library across subject and year level coverage, scale the number of schools using its products and further develop its product suite. The latest round brings total capital raised since 2013 to $4 million.
This funding will allow Edrolo to continue to fundamentally change best practice in education by using data-driven approaches to serve meaningful learning insights to teachers and put the power of how and what we’re learning in the hands of the student.
“Our mission has been to improve education by driving personalised learning outcomes through informed teaching of students,” say Co-Founders Duncan Anderson, Jeremy Cox, and Ben Sze. “Edrolo is a data-driven, ‘differentiated teaching’ solution, giving students a next-generation replacement for textbooks, tutors, study guides, and exam revision lectures, as well as giving parents peace of mind that their children’s’ needs are being met 24/7.”
AirTree Partner, Daniel Petre says “Edrolo has built a phenomenal product that is benefitting from a full stack approach to learning. We are excited to be part of Edrolo’s journey as they deliver to educators something that has been dreamed about for decades. The number of leading academic institutions already using their product is testament to the bright future ahead for the company.”
